These states declare summer vacations amid heat waves; check dates

Several areas in the state are currently experiencing temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, officials said.

In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions in the state, the Odisha government announced the summer vacation of the school and Anganwadi Centre from Wednesday, April 23. Both government-run universities will be closed from Wednesday until further orders are closed. The decisions were made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi after a stockpiling of common heat waves on Tuesday.

“The summer vacation for elementary school students will begin tomorrow. All government and private educational institutions in the state, from Sishubatika, Sishubatika to Level 12, will be closed from April 23.” However, the previously planned exams will be held on designated dates and the officials concerned will be directed to take care of this.

Chhattisgarh School Summer Vacation

A Chhattisgarh government brought summer vacations at schools and announced it would start from April 25 instead of May 1, an official said. He said in the evening, the state school education department issued an order to announce the summer vacation from April 25 to June 15. The official told the summer vacation is scheduled to be held in government, auxiliary, non-auxiliary and non-government schools from May 1 to June 15, according to previous department orders. According to officials, several areas of the state currently have temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. The state recorded the state’s highest temperatures at 44.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
