It was reported that Yasir Hussain Shah from the Bugland area of Jamu and Asiya Bano from the Baramulla area of Kashmir and Uri Kundi Barjala area of Uri Kundi Barjala area jumped into the river on March 5.
After a prolonged search to track both, Shah’s body was found floating near the Kaman outpost on March 20 near the LOC in Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
“The police and rescue team tried to retrieve it, but due to the powerful tide, it drifted to the other side of the LOC.”
Authorities from India settled the matter with LOC officials, who eventually retrieved two bodies from the river.
Officials said a meeting was held on Saturday at Kaman Post at URI, including SDPO, SHO, NAIB and TEHSILDAR, officials from the Indian Army and its opponents, as well as parents of the deceased.
They said officials from the URI received the body.
