The world’s first handbag made of 80 million historic T-Rex leather, is about to be launched

This groundbreaking project aims to produce cruel, environmentally friendly materials designed using rebuilt Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA that revolutionizes the luxury industry.
In a groundbreaking collaboration, VML, Lab Grown Leather Ltd. and Organoid Company have joined forces to create the world’s first T-Rex leather, combining innovative innovation, genomic engineering and advanced tissue engineering. This groundbreaking project aims to produce cruel, environmentally friendly materials designed using rebuilt Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA that revolutionizes the luxury industry.
The science behind the project
Researchers are using fossil collagen from 80 million-year-old T-Rex fossils as a blueprint for engineered cells with synthetic DNA. Laboratory-grown leather’s proprietary Advanced Tissue Engineering Platform (ATEP) and “scaffold-free” tissue engineering approach allow cells to form their own natural networks, resulting in materials that faithfully reflect the true leather properties.
Ethical and environmental innovation
This groundbreaking leather alternative is designed to greatly reduce the environmental impacts associated with traditional leather production, such as deforestation and water pollution. The Partner Program initially targets luxury accessories and plans to be flagship fashion products planned by the end of 2025, and will use subsequent production scale production to other industries.
Ancient inspiration for future markets
The global leather commodity market is expected to reach USD 780 billion by 2035, while bio-based materials grow 10-15% annually. The potential for expansion is great, and partners aim to capitalize on the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.
The price of partners
“This joint venture demonstrates the power of cell-based technologies to create materials that are both innovative and morally reasonable,” said Professor Che Connon of Lab Grows Leather. “By reconstructing and optimizing ancient protein sequences, we can design T-Rex Leather, a biological material inspired by prehistoric biology and clone it into custom cell lines,” explains Thomas Mitchell, CEO of Organoid Company.
This revolutionary partnership has the potential to reshape the luxury manufacturing industry while promoting sustainable practices, thus bringing a glimpse of environmental fashion and future ahead.
