Israel launches military operation in Gaza; Hamas leader dies in air strikes | World News

Tazpit Press Service (TPS) reported on Sunday that the IDF carried out a ground operation in the town of Beit Hanoun in Gaza on Sunday morning, while Hamas reported on Sunday that the Israeli News Agency (TPS) confirmed the death of its Politburo members in an air strike.
According to the report, during the operation, fighter jets attacked several HAMAS targets and terrorist infrastructure in the area. Meanwhile, the IDF also warned residents of the Tel-Sultan community in Rafah to evacuate their homes on Sunday.
“The IDF has launched an attack on terrorist groups. Your area is considered a dangerous battle zone,” said Col Avicay Adraee, an Arabic spokesman for the IDF. “The gushing Katif Street is considered a humanitarian route you use to move to the Monasi region.”
The report added that Hamas confirmed that Salah al-Bardawil, a member of its Politburo, was killed in an Israeli air strike in Khan Yunis.
In another update, CNN reported that Israeli troops carried out multiple wave air strikes in Lebanon, targeting suspicious Hezbollah ruins.
The report, citing Lebanese Ministry of Health, said at least seven people were killed, including one child, and 40 others were injured during a strike on Saturday.
Since the ceasefire, the barrage of the day marks the most significant outbreak of violence between Israel and Hezbollah, which has made the border uneasy.
The IDF said its latest strike targets “Hezbollah command center, infrastructure, terrorists, rocket launchers and weapons storage facilities.” It said it was responding to at least five projectiles launched from within Lebanon to Israel. The three were intercepted by the Israeli Air Force, and the two did not cross the border.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera quoted state media reports that another Israeli drone targeted vehicles in a small town in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s official state news agency near the border with Israel, “Israel drones carried out an air strike this morning, launching missiles against cars in the town of Aita al-Shaab.
