Siddaramaiah in soup with angry gesture against senior police officer

Bellagave: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who angrily gestured at a senior police officer in a plan in Belagavi on Monday, sparking controversy, sparking sharp criticism from the opposition BJP, who criticized him for being “inconscionable” and “abuse of power” and tried to strike down police officers.

The incident occurred during the Congress party’s “Samvidhan Bachao” rally and organized protests against the so-called failed central government plans.

When Siddaramaiah delivered a speech, BJP Mahila Morcha activists held a black flag protest nearby, making remarks against the chief minister about tensions with Pakistan. Police officers quickly removed the protesters from the venue.

An angry Siddaramaiah from Dais called up another police chief to question the officer’s handling of the situation.

Siddaramaiah called Narayan Bharamani, another SP close to Dias, and approached him, “Come here.” Then, he asked, “Who is here? What are you doing?” As the SP responded with an additional attempt, Siddaramaiah saw Siddaramaiah raise his hand in an animated gesture, prompting the officer to take a step back.

BJP leaders claim Siddaramaiah attempted to physically attack the officer.

“The patriotic women today bravely raised their slogans and expressed protest against Chief Minister Sidalamaya at the Congress meeting in Bellagarve, condemning his sympathy for Pakistan and making remarks in an attempt to establish a division in the unity of Akhand Bharat. The state BJP president of Vijayendra posted his hand on X, trying to raise his hand – a bill that constitutes rogue behavior and devalues the dignity of the chief minister’s office.

“When a senior police officer finds himself helpless and publicly intimidated by the state’s highest elected official, it is necessary to ask: What safety and justice can ordinary citizens expect under such incompetent governance? The behavior of the chief minister is untrustworthy and must be deceived against the scope or political officials faced by any ordinary citizen. The colonial mentality, where officials are regarded as private servants – this mentality must be rejected and condemned in any modern democracy,” he said.

He said CM Siddaramaiah’s public outbreak of a senior police officer was not surprising.

“Even the sacred gate of Vidhana Soudha, the temple of democracy, has been the first to bear the brunt before. Obviously, our CM is under the influence of Pakistan’s Sharia law governance model, rather than the Gandhi principle that India proudly follows! With each act, Siddaramaiah seems to be more certain, and only determines his own citizenship, he is a citizen.

Vijayendra claims that Siddaramaiah is a “repeating criminal” in showing arrogance and contempt for democratic norms – citing examples such as insulting female voters from his own voters, which question their performance and openly humiliates the district commissioner for trivia. He further claimed that abuse of constitutional authority and contempt for democratic institutions seemed almost a Congressional instinct, a history of imposing “hard emergencies” on the country, he said.

Meanwhile, BJP Mahila Morcha State President Manjula condemned Siddaramaiah’s response to the protests. She said Mahila Morcha militants were peacefully opposing the chief minister’s “insensitive” remarks, indicating that terrorists killed 26 Indian tourists in Jamu and Kashmir. “A leader who cannot tolerate peaceful objections and resorts to intimidation of military officers reflects a mentality of danger to democracy,” she said.

Manjula further claimed that the Siddaramaiah government was “abuse of police institutions” and proposed FIR against rulers and opposition lawmakers who dared to question the government with “political motivation”.
