Anand Mahindra pays tribute to 14 years old

Business head Anand Mahindra praised young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi for calling him not only a part of IPL history but also a part of cricket history itself after his record IPL century. Vaibhav became the youngest player in the first century in IPL history, which has only 14 years and 32 days in IPL history, and he has been making headlines in the performances of the Rajasthan Royals. He beat only 38 goals in the cricket and business worlds with 101 against the Gujarat Giants.
Anand Mahindra responded to Suryavanshi’s achievements, “A part of cricket history. Not only IPL history. I hope and pray that he will be able to absorb this moment without being overwhelmed by it. Then, his sight is higher.”

Vaibhav beat 94 of his 101 runs, hitting 11 sixes and seven fours, leading the Rajasthan Royals to eight goals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. His 166-shot stance with Yashasvi Jaiswal helped the team easily chase the 210 goal.

Suryavanshi’s century surpassed the records of Manish Pandey (19y 253d), Rishabh Pant (20y 218d) and Devdutt Padikkal (20Y 289d) in just 14 years and 32 days, as it is the youngest century-old in IPL history.

Yuvraj Singh, a former Indian all-rounder, posted: “What did you do when you were 14 years old?!! This kid is not blinking! vaibhav suryavanshi and plays the best bowling ball in the world, remember this name! Plays the fearless attitude. Plays the fearless attitude.

Former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop also praised the young batsman, writing: “14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi beat a century of Ipl Century 35 deliveries in 2025. Very outstanding.”
