Windows Server 2025: Microsoft’s Windows Security Update feature is no longer free! Prepare to pay $1.50 from July 1

In order to use the HotPatching feature, users must have “Windows Server 2025 Standard or Data Center” and they need to make sure their servers remain connected to Azure Arc. In addition to that, people need to make paid subscriptions to the HotPatch service, the company said. This service is now available in preview mode at no additional cost. However, starting in July, subscription fees will start to start. The post says Windows Server 2025 users will be available for “$1.50 per month” which has added a few years of blogging. They can access it at no extra cost.
