Police said Tuesday a man attacked his wife and shaved his head after proposing abuse language against him. Ram Sagar reportedly began using abusive language to his wife Babita (29) after some controversy.
When Babita objected, he allegedly threatened to kill her, beat her, and then shave off her head with a sharp object, the officer said. The next day, Babita contacted her mother, Urmila Devi, and told her about the incident, before going to her parents’ home. On Sunday evening, Babita and her mother approached the Aurai Police Station and filed a formal complaint demanding strict litigation against the defendant.
The defendant absconded and tried to track him down. Police said he had been booked in the relevant section of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
