Actor Ajith Kumar was hospitalized in Chennai on Wednesday after suffering a minor leg injury at the airport. The incident happened when a large number of fans and media personnel gathered to welcome him from New Delhi, where he won the Padma Booshan Award.
According to sources close to the actors, the damage was not serious. Ajith was taken to a private hospital for physical therapy and is expected to be discharged later today. A source said: “Sir Ajith Kumar suffered a small leg injury when he was besieged by a large crowd at Chennai Airport. Therefore, he had to be admitted to physical therapy. The actor is likely to be discharged tonight. There is nothing to worry about his health.”
