Resigning is not easy, you must be sure of your future efforts. If you have a business idea, quitting smoking becomes more risky, because starting a business requires not only a lot of resources, but also strategies and analysis. But quitting a high-paying job is definitely not an easy decision. However, Delhi-based Rajat Gupta resigned from his Rs 150 crore job to realize his entrepreneurial dream, realizing it by building a successful business, which makes it an inspiring business success story.

Who is Rajat Gupta?

Rajat Gupta is a Delhi native and an engineer who studied abroad and started working in Silicon Valley in the United States. He worked there for eight years, earned Rs 150 crore before resigning and returned to India to start his own business in 2023. But why did he leave his profitable job in the United States and return to India?

One inspiration in the United States is the idea of starting a business in India. In the United States, Rajat noticed that medical prescriptions are easy to understand and the system is very easy, which is not the case in India. So he thought of creating a platform that could facilitate medical delivery through that platform.

After coming to India, Rajat Gupta worked with a team of 12 people for a year and launched Repill in January 2025. A few months after launching his first and new medical facilities business, Rajat Gupta’s Repill successfully offered over 400 orders in Delhi and plans to further expand to Noida, Gurgaonurue, Yoida and Bengalu, among others.

Repill aims to provide medications to facilitate medical assistance to patients, so it claims that it will take place within an hour and in an emergency.
