Bangalore-based builder booked cheats

Kodigehalli police conducted a cheating case against a city builder on Sunday, allegedly suspected of cheating up to 34 families and earning hundreds of thousands of rupees from it.
One of the victims who filed the complaint said she rented an apartment in the residential area of Kodigehalli, which was identified from the builder as Ak Raghu in November 2023 at Rs 26 lakh.
Residents lived there until January 2024 when a group claimed ownership of the apartment and asked the crew to evacuate. Verification shows that Raghu sold them to them, some of whom received bank loans.
Even bank officials began visiting apartments and evacuate notices without paying for EMI.
Shocked, the victim went to the police station to file a complaint, but the police initially refused to say it was a civil dispute, allegedly accusing the victim of not conducting due diligence while leasing the property. The victims contacted Raghu somehow, who guaranteed that they resolved the issue and spent time to return the money, but in vain.
The victim protested in front of the apartment on Wednesday, demanding legal action. The victims said few residents were forcibly evacuated, and many families lived in fear and asked the authorities to intervene and resolve the problem.
