India closes airspace for all Pakistan flights, including military aircraft: Centre | India News

India announced on Wednesday that all Pakistan flights have closed airspace six days after Pakistan took similar moves. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) issued Notification Aviation Mission (NOTAM) and closed the space for Pakistan to register, operate or lease aircraft, airlines and military flights.
“Indian airspace is not suitable for Pakistan-registered aircraft and aircraft, operated/owned or leased by Pakistan Airlines/operators (including military flights),”
This is six days after Pakistan closed airspace on all Indian flights where diplomatic tensions with India escalated.
The shutdown in the airspace between the two countries follows the Pahalgam terrorist attacks in Jamu and Kashmir, 26 of whom (mainly tourists) were killed by Pakistani terrorists on April 22. India suspended the Indus Water Treaty and revoked the Saarc Visa plan for Pakistani nationals after the terrorist attack. It also ordered the military dependants of the Pakistani embassy to leave, a move that was reciprocating in Pakistan.
The day after India moved, Pakistan closed airspace for all Indian flights. While India accused Pakistan of sponsoring the terrorist attack, Islamabad denied the allegations and called for an independent third-party investigation led by Russia and China.
