Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy digs in comments from opposition leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao to the state government, expressing his willingness to hold a detailed debate on the Kaleshwaram project, free bus services, loan exemptions, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bandhu, SC classification and Census.
“Chandrasekhar Rao should decide which of these issues should be discussed. He is opposing the government,” the Chief Minister said in his speech.
He recalls how the BRS leaders criticized the government at the party’s public meeting of the Silver Jubilee in Warangal. In fact, the state government helped the opposition by providing buses for the celebrations. “If the leader (Mr Chandrasekhar Rao) listed the good things the government has done and talked about the public’s importance, people would be grateful,” he said.
He served as President of the BRS for not participating in parliamentary litigation. “The leader has been earning salaries and allowances without leaving his house. Which law allows this? He made Rs 6.5 lakh on salary, used government vehicles and had police guarantees, while skipping his responsibilities as an opposition leader. People are asking why he sleeps in a farmhouse, not performing his duties among opposition leaders,” Mr Reddy said.
He wondered, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao wanted to communicate to people by limiting himself to farmhouses and stopping in welfare schemes. “What programs like Rythu Bandhu, Aarogyasri, the power of freedom over farmers, Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi were stopped? What does he want to achieve through hateful speeches and inspire people?
He refers to Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s claim that Congress was “Telangana’s first villain”, saying: “Why is Congress a villain? It is to realize the separate Telangana, Chandrasekhar Rao and his family robbed the state for 10 years and he has no right to morally criticize Congress.”
