EV charger manufacturing unit opens in Hyderabad

EV charging infrastructure company EVRE has opened an electric vehicle charger manufacturing facility in the Patancheru Industrial Development Zone in Hyderabad.
From 3.3 kW AC to 360 kW DC, the company said in a press release Thursday that the facility will produce a wide variety of chargers in the facility.
The new facility will produce 20,000 EV chargers in the next few months to meet Evre’s order book. By 2026, the facility’s manufacturing capacity will expand to 10,000 chargers per month. The department will generate over 50 local jobs.
“Our goal is to build India as a large residential complex with almost no access to EV charging infrastructure in India… Our goal is to build India as an EV Charger Manufacturing Powerhouse with up to 70% localization of its proprietary technology,” said Krishna K Jasti, founder and CEO of Hyderabad.
