Our intentions, their empty slogan: Dharmendra Pradhan of the caste census

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday praised the government’s decision to conduct a national caste census as a “game-changer” and targeted the opposition, saying it has exposed the difference between “real intentions and empty slogans.”He said at a press conference at the BJP headquarters that the arrogance and hypocrisy of those who said “the government is theirs, but the system is ours”.
“The game-changing decision has exposed the difference between our true intentions and the empty difference of the opposition,” Pradan said. “This decision of the caste census has not been made suddenly.
The comments were posted when the government announced that it would include caste enumerations in a “transparent” way in the upcoming census exercise, even as it slams the opposition’s opposition party using the caste investigation as a “political tool.”

Pradhan opposes Congress for claiming honors announced by the caste census. “When this decision was made yesterday, some people were upset. They said, ‘The government is theirs (ruling party), but the system is ours (opposition).’ “To make social justice come true, the Mandal Council was formed under the 1977 Jana Sangh, the former BJP, was part of the government.” The union minister said the Mandal Council’s report was “locked in a dungeon” for 10 years.
