The film Razakar (Silent Genocide in Hyderabad) produced by Gudur Narayana Reddy won two awards at the 15th Dada Sahib Palk Film Festival in New Delhi on Thursday (May 1).
The film won the Best Director and Best Photography Awards, and recognizes its stark portrayal of polo action and the award for annexation of the Prince of Hyderabad to the Indian League in 1948.
Directed by Yata Satyanarayana, the film revisits the Hyderabad unity under the leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, after a military intervention in Nizam’s private militia Razakars.
