However, the film's director Om Raut is not ready to accept Adipurush's failure and still appreciates it.
Recently, Om Raut attended the 2025 Wave Summit in Mumbai. During Pannel's discussion, Om Raut said Telugu rights were sold for Rs 1.2 crore before Adipurush was released. He further emphasized that filmmakers should use the “real heart” to tell the local street that it should be so powerful that it is associated with the world (DUH).
Om said, “adipurush, before we even released, the Telugu market was sold for about 1.2 billion, I mean my publisher is here somewhere, maybe he could quote my number for me, but for that, it was for it, and for it, so it means a lot of people actually saw the movie, the right one is our locals, so we can differentiate our things, so our real situation is right. Resonating everywhere, people will provide a market for it.” If that's not a delusion, what is that?

Om Raut's statement has been exaggerated on social media. Even if you watch the video carefully, after Om Raut finished his speech, he received no reaction or applause from the attendees and you could feel the embarrassment on his face. Several netizens criticized him for making such a statement.
