Australian elections 2025: Prime Minister PM Albanese is beautiful, Dutton

According to pre-election polls, Australians will go to the polls on Saturday (May 3, 2025) and Labor is expected to form a government. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese led the Labor campaign, while principal opposition and Liberal leader Peter Dutton sought to support his party. U.S. President Donald Trump and his tariff war are one of the external factors that have become the main issue of the election.Although Labor has 78 seats in the 150-member House and 57 seats in the opposition coalition, both leaders are final appealing, with Albanes focusing on key states and Dutton aiming to ignore poll predictions.
Early votes have been huge, with both leaders expressing confidence, laying the foundation for potentially close to the election results. Dutton is trying to defy historical trends. Since 1931, no political party has formed a government after opposing a term.
Public opinion polls show that the labor force is a good position to make up the government and has the opportunity to retain a majority. However, the Prime Minister is cautious as he seeks a second three-year mission from the voters.

“I won't take the Australian people for granted. I'm working to make sure there is a majority government,” Mr Albany said in Brisbane on Friday.

Since the last general election in 2022, seats in major political parties have changed due to flaws and reallocation. Labour currently has 78 seats, while the coalition has 57 seats.
Despite facing adverse voting data, opposition leaders believe the coalition can still win seats. Early voting is very important.
Nearly 5.7 million people have voted, and by the evening of May 1 (May 1), more than 1.5 million postal votes have been returned. This accounts for about 40% of eligible voters.

Dutton expects a “big surprise” on election night. He said the election has similarities with 2019, where polls differ from actual results. He also claimed that the candidate received “very outstanding” feedback at the pre-sale stalls.

Albanes ran for election in Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania on Friday. Dutton started in South Australia with the goal of winning Boothby and retaining Sturt before heading to Western Australia to lose its target seat in 2022.

Green Party leader Adam Bandt voted among Melbourne voters. He predicts “tenant rebellion” in the election.

A seat poll released Thursday predicts that the league could drop to its lowest seat since the 1940s.

YouGov expects Labor will receive a bipartisan priority vote in 52.9% of the country, compared with 47.1% of the coalition. This will give the government a 47-84 seats against the opposition.

In the Australian Financial Review in the final Trynshui Strategic Poll, Labour’s support was based on bipartisan priority, at 51.5 per cent to 48.5 per cent, and the Australian Financial Review was published on Friday last Friday. It gave Labour 74 seats and 64 coalitions.

Trump Factor

Opposition campaigns face mistakes and backtracking. A comparison between Dutton and U.S. President Trump.

While Trump’s tariff war is one of the issues, local issues such as increasing inflation, cost of living, and poor housing conditions have led to high rents and prices, which are the main issues at home.

Despite the increased prospects for Labour's election, its main votes have not increased significantly as Australians increasingly seek minors and independents.

In Australia, voting is mandatory, with more than 90% of those eligible for the last federal election in 2022.
