Officials said an autopsy was performed on the 18-year-old Nepali student while the police continued their investigation.

They said an executive magistrate conducted an autopsy at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar after the victim's parents gave consent.

Other deputy commissioners of police officer Prakash Chandra Pal said the whole process was photographed in accordance with the norms.

The victim's parents came to Bhubaneswar on Friday (May 2) after hearing news about his death.
They claimed their daughter was happy when she talked to her Thursday at 3pm but was told about her death at 8pm
Mr Parr said the student's final ceremony will be held in Schwagardwar, Puri.
“Her parents would not bring the body to Nepal,” he said.
Police said they recorded statements from about 10 people, including staff at the Girls Hotel who had recovered from her body on Thursday evening (May 2).
The Infacity Police Department registered a case of unnatural death.

Police said they were checking the contents of the late girl's laptop and cell phone.
The Nepal government demands an independent and impartial investigation into the incident.
