The SOGF Grandmasters series is hailed as the new benchmark by Kapil Dev and world chess champion Koneru Humpy.

The tournament peaked with fierce and friendly competition in the match held in Gurugram from April 29 to 30, becoming winners in their respective categories along with Mitrabha Guha, Shubhi Gupta, soundarya kumar pradhan, satya and rakesh kumar. Haryana Sports Ministers Gaurav Gautam and Kapil Dev gave up the prize.
