Chief Minister Stalin strongly criticized the governor on Saturday, describing the position as “just a rubber stamp” and has no real utility.

“If the governor appointed as the 'agent' of the Union Government temporarily blocks the Chief Minister's plan for the people, what is their respect for their vote? Why is the election carried out?” he said speaking on the FELICITITINT function held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

It was organized by the Federation of Higher Education Institutions, thanking the Chief Minister for his role in obtaining a landmark judgment from the Supreme Court on the Governor’s pending bill, thus ensuring the rights of Tamil Nadu.

“Will they keep quiet if the president takes over the power of the prime minister?” Mr. Stalin said.

“After the Supreme Court's judgment, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that parliament is the highest. We are talking about the same thing. The state legislative parliament has more power than the governor,” he said.

Stalin said the state government not only provided land and financial resources for the establishment of universities and universities, but also provided salaries for staff, in addition to ensuring students’ amenities.

“Is it reasonable for the governor to nominate vice-chancellors of state-owned universities? That's why I went to court. The judges made clear judgments to resolve cases that had been on standby for several years. They've welcomed the cat. They set a deadline for the governor to keep the governor in line with the bill.”

“No personal competition”

“No one should think we are in a power struggle with the governor. There is no personal competition with the governor. Even in recent times in Raj Bhavan's duties, I interacted with him. Even if there is a political difference, we should maintain a cordial relationship. If the other person is the governor, he/she will be on par with others in the same way.”

“In no case, we will give up our rights. This is my policy,” he said. “In my personal opinion, the current governor must continue because our kindness with the people will increase.” He also told students not to fall into the trap of the trap, saying that education is not important and they can make a living through Instagram or YouTube.

He added that some people try to use social media to mislead students and instill caste motivations in them. He told the students: “Don't look for your role models on social media. It's for entertainment.”

K. Veeramani, President, Peryal Manimame University and Tamil Nadu Minister of Higher Education Govi. Chezhiaan and others spoke at the event.

Anti-Massacre Act

In his speech, G. Viswanathan, founder of Vellore Polytechnic Institute, asked the chief minister to ensure that the state government enacted the anti-crime law.
