Fisherman, pregnant wife rescued after defeat in Parnadu Forest

Vijayawada:Police rescued a fisherman and his four-month-old pregnant wife after they died in the forest in the Palnadu area. The couple fished in the Krishna River and spent over a day trying to find their way before the fisherman dialed 100 times to help.
Kodamanchali Srinu, a native of Tadepalligudem in the West Godavari area, traveled with his wife Dhanalakshmi to the Zenda Penta Village in Veldurthi Mandal on April 19, and won his livelihood by fishing in the area near the Krishna River.
On May 2, the couple ventured to fish on a boat and spread the nets into the river. While waiting for the catch, they head toward the embankment and unknowingly wandered in the Kotha Pulla Reddy Gudem Forest. From around 7.00am, they were still lost, trying to return to their hometown and then go deep into the forest. They spent the night there, haunted by fear when they heard the cry of wild animals.
The next morning, Dhanalakshmi suggested calling the police. Srinu took action to her advice and informed them of their situation, expressing fear after hearing the animal's voice and asking for rescue.
Veldurthi Si Shaik Samandar Vali and three police officers responded immediately. The team was 15 km from the police station and hiked 6 km in the forest, tracking the fisherman's movement signals. They eventually found the couple and took them back to the police station safely.
“We were told they were scared of the sounds of wildlife. Knowing that there were four tigers in the same forest, we arrived and were lucky enough to find them safe.”
