Stalin announced that an unbuilt bridge fell in the Tiruppur accident, and the couple's family killed the couple.

A man and his wife died after their two-wheeler and fell from a building bridge near Dharapuram on Saturday (May 3, 2025). Their 12-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the accident and was being treated in a private hospital.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin pleads for their deaths on Sunday (4 May 2025) and announced a will of Rs 3 lakh to the family of each of the deceased in the Chief Minister’s public relief fund. In a statement, Mr Stalin said he had directed officials to ensure treatment for the 12-year-old girl who was seriously injured. He also announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the injured.

The deceased were identified as K. Nagaraj (44) and Ananthi (38).
