The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) claims that the NDA government is abusing police, bringing false cases against its political opponents, and arresting cadres to cover up its failure to provide security to the party president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Mohan Reddy.
Party spokesman Putta Siva Sankar Reddy spoke to the media on Sunday, saying police had filed false cases against Topudurthi Prakash Reddy and his brother and arrested his followers without hesitation.
Police failed to provide security when Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy recently visited Ramagiri to comfort the family of the killed British Columbia leader. It was the police who asked Mr. Prakash Reddy to control the helicopter. When the helicopter was damaged, the police failure was obvious and Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had to drive along the highway.
To cover up their failures, police conducted false cases against Mr. Praksah Reddy and his brother. Mr Sankar Reddy said they have arrested his followers in the Rapthadu constituency.
“The coalition government is working on, and the factional politics has been under control for 2019-24 years,” he claimed. “Police acting as required by the coalition leaders must repay their sins in the days to come because we will rebound in the next term.”
