Smriti Mandhana scripting history on Sri Lanka; Join Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma on Deepti Sharma Elite List

The Indian women started out strongly in the ongoing three-game winning streak, beating Sri Lanka with nine wickets while South Africa ran with 15 runs. Mandhana scored 43 runs in the first game and 36 in the second game.

Smriti Mandhana is the third Indian female cricketer history, which is to hit 100 ODIs and 100 T20IS milestones for the Blue Women. Mandhana joined Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma in a three-game winning streak against Sri Lanka on Sunday, May 4. Harmanpreet Kaur is the first cricketer to achieve this extraordinary feat, playing 144 ODIs and 178 T20IS. Deepti Sharma follows her emulation, with 104 ODIs and 124 T20Is under her belt.

Indian vice captain Mandhana reached her 100th ODI milestone while also having an impressive record of 148 T20I. She made her debut in the T20I against Bangladesh on April 5, 2013, and then only five days later, her ODI debut against the same opposition. Her first Test match was played against England in 2014.

Mandhana is known as one of the best batsmen of her generation, amassing 4306 runs in ODI, including 10 and 30 and a half centuries, with an average of 46.10. In T20IS, she scored 3761 runs with a name of 30 and a half centuries.

In her 100th ODI, Mandhana scored 18 runs and 28 goals, contributing a total of 275/9 in India. Richa Ghosh also had a brilliant half century in the game.

Sri Lanka got a solid start during the chase, with their first four batsmen providing stability. Harshitha Madavi and Chamari Athapaththhu seem to be ready for the big game until the Indian bowler breaks, opens the batsman and leaves Sri Lanka 124/4, it still takes 124 runs to win.

At a critical moment in the game, Nilakshi de Silva and Kavisha Dilhari curated an extraordinary turn with the Indian team.
