Hyderabad started its 72nd edition of the Miss Miss Beauty Pageant in just a few days, so it began to welcome contestants from all over the world. The international event will be held in Telangana for the first time and will begin with an opening ceremony at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 10.
To accommodate the arrival of international representatives, special arrangements were made at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA). A senior airport official confirmed that a dedicated immigration channel has been established for contestants, as well as temporary exclusive lounge spaces, personalized assistance and dedicated porter services to ensure a smooth transit for participants and their teams.

Participants landed in Hyderabad
As of Monday (May 5, 2025), several contestants have landed in the city, including Miss Maria Amelia Batista Antonio, Portugal. Miss South Africa Zoalise van Rensburg; Miss Brazil Jessy Pedroso and Miss Emma Morrison, Canada. In the next two days, contestants from more than 120 countries are expected to arrive.

The event attracted Telangana's sports and cultural idols. Noted boxer and two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen called the pageant “not only a celebration of beauty, but also a platform to empower, diversity and global unity.” She added that it was an opportunity to showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage to the world.
Olympic medalist PV Sindhu responded to a similar view, saying: “It’s an unprecedented celebration.
The Miss World 2025 finale is scheduled for May 31 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, with a series of events planned throughout the month that draws global talent and a vibrant culture of the state.
