MLC seeks to investigate “abuse of funds” approved by Rythu Bharosa Kendras in 2020-24

MLC Bhumireddy Ramagopal Reddy wrote a letter to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asking the CB-CID or alert department to allegedly abused nearly Rs 104 crore in Rs 104 crore in Rythu Bharosa Kendras (Rythu Bharosa Kendras) in 2020-24.
Mr Ramagopal Reddy said that during the YSRCP period, a total of 10,778 RBKs were established, each time the RBK approved a monthly fee of Rs 2,047, about Rs 221 crore per month.
These payments have been paid to some RBKs, which were stopped a few months later and transferred for other purposes, forcing those who care for RBK to spend it out of their pockets.
Mr Ramagopal Reddy claimed that the funds were misappropriated from the highest power echelon to the level of assistant directors. The funds were shown as expenditures in the Ministry of Agriculture account, but inquiry showed that none of them arrived at the RBK.
The government should investigate the matter and take action against the culprit, Mr. Ramagopal Reddy appealed to the Chief Minister.
