HEBBAL LAND: BMRCL, KIADB tells to resolve issues through negotiation

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar chaired a senior meeting on Monday to discuss the 45 acres of land in Hebbal, Bengaluru, in Hebbal, in Bangalore, to develop a multimodal transport center and two metro stations.

At the meeting, Mr. Shivakumar asked the Karnataka Industrial Zone Development Board (KIADB) and BMRCL officials to hold talks and resolve the issues with each other by paying compensation to those who own the land.

BMRCL submitted a formal request for land under KIADB control. Kiadb acquired land for private developers. BMRCL proposes compensation for affected landowners under the latest land acquisition specifications. However, delays in handing over land have stalled progress in the subway project.

Minister of Industry MB Patil and BMRCL Managing Director Maheshwar Rao and senior government officials attended the meeting.
