According to several media reports, India is working to isolate Pakistan on the international stage and ensure that multilateral institutions and countries have dry development-related funding and bailout packages. The report further claimed that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had asked President Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Milan, Italy, to suspend various funds from being suspended to Pakistan. Sitharaman allegedly urged the Italian government to cut various financings to Pakistan.
