Diljit Dosanjh stands for Punjabi Culture in Met Gala 2025

New York: “Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye,” Diljit Dosanjh yelled fans excited about the look of their Met Gala.

Diljit walked on the iconic staircase of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, blending the royal family of the Punjabi royal family with a modern vision.

Diljit dressed like Maharaja, turning in a custom Prabal Gurung outfit. He wore traditional costumes – a turban (a symbol of Sikh status) and a kurta and tehmat (the bottom of a long top and shawl).

The “Naina” destiny proudly showed off his Punjabi culture on global platforms, elevating his outfit with accessories and swords. His costume also carries a long cloak with Punjabi letters engraved on it.

If the report can be believed, Diljit wore exquisite jewels from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala's legendary Cartier Collection.

Met Gala 2025 marks Diljit's debut in Hollywood's largest fashion night. Interestingly, he became the first hijab actor to debut at the Metropolitan Gala.

The appearance of Diljit's Met Gala touched the hearts of his fans as many praised him and thanked the thoughts behind his clothes.

Social media users commented: “It's very proud.”

Another wrote: “Chicken skin ump.”

In an interesting post, Diljit shared photos of the good stuff he received from the organizers of the Met Gala the day after the debut of the Met Gala. He also posted a video sharing his excitement about attending a large event.

The actor added a title with the fun video, which reads: “Tomorrow's Metropolitan Conference daso fer ki paiye kal nu halaa laa laa laa laa laa karauni an #metgala.” (Tomorrow's Metropolitan Celebration, tell me what to wear tomorrow. I'll make a lot of noise and create a scene.)

In addition to Diljit, the Indian stars at Met Gala this year are Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani, Isha Ambani and Manish Malhotra.
