AP PTD Employee Union Opposes the Relocation of Credit Cooperative Office

The Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Authority (AP PTD) Employees Union (EU) opposes the proposed transfer of the APSRTC Credit Cooperation Association (CCOS) office from its current location in RTC House and asks the Management Committee to provide justification for the move.

Speaking in the media on Wednesday, Employees Alliance Country President P. Damodara Rao and Secretary-General GV Narasayya said the office space at RTC House was originally assigned to CCOs to serve all APSRTC employees. The facility is rent-free and equipped with facilities such as electricity, internet and maintenance, and arranged for the convenience of the then managing director.

They claim that the current National Mazdo Union (NMU) governing board purchased an apartment on the sixth floor of the apartment 8 km from the RTC house, which it allegedly paid only Rs 3 million for registration. They said the deal was reportedly conducted secretly using CCOS funds, which was responded to questions raised by EU affiliated board members, they said.

EU leaders said despite assurances of CH, the CCOS president and APSRTC vice chairman and managing director. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao believes that the office will not be relocated and the registration of the new property was kept confidential 10 days ago. They warn that any attempt to use force to transfer offices to new locations could lead to protests across the state.
