Hours after “Operation Sindor”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Droupadi Murmu and chaired a cabinet meeting to introduce his colleagues to a military strike. The government also convened a full-party meeting to introduce all parties to the “sindoor operation” to all parties on Thursday (May 8, 2025).
Later in the day, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced that the government would hold a full-party meeting in Parliament at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Congress expressed hope that Mr. Modi would attend the meeting. – India Bureau.
