Pakistan’s allegations about India’s Nylam Jalum hydropower project in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) were “absolute and complete fabrication”, with Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said on Thursday that Pakistan said Pakistan was trying to define the alleged “foreshadowing” as “a IndraSuros”.
“I would say this is absolutely complete fabrication and blatant lie…I should note that if such claims are an excuse for the similar nature of infrastructure in India, then Pakistan will be entirely responsible for the unquestionable consequences,” Mr Misri said in the introduction to the special publisher here.

Mr Misri also said that contrary to reports from Pakistan and Turkish media, India and Pakistan’s National Security Advisor (NSA) have not been in contact since the Sindoor operation was held early Wednesday morning.
Official sources stressed that India has not considered targets that fall under the Pakistani infrastructure category. Pakistan’s allegations come after India announced the announcement of putting the Indian Waters Treaty (IWT) on a “shelf” backdrop after an April 22nd terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Mr Misri believes that Pakistan has been spreading “false information” about the IWT and shows India’s assessment of the treaty, saying “in the past year and a half to two years” that India has sent them “several notifications” [Pakistan] Negotiations are required to discuss amendments to the treaty”.

“India has been sixty years, even in a period of time when Pakistan has committed many wars against us, it is confrontational even in relations.
Mr Misri said that many changes in the Indus Waters Treaty need to be considered in the areas of technology, climate and demographics. “This is a treaty based on engineering technology in the 1950s and 1960s. We have been living in the first quarter of the 21st century. There must be consideration for technological changes and technological advancements.”
