A court heard that a nursery was accused of abuse of 24 babies, causing the children to cry and “wipe” after repeatedly pinching, punching and grabbing them.
Roksana Lecka, 22, is accused of “serious injury” of 23 babies, aged 18 months to two years, while she worked at a £1,900-a-month Montessori Nursery in Twickenham, West London between January 31 and June 28 last year.
Lecka, wearing a grey jumper, a white collar shirt and a black turban on the dock, denied 21 counts of cruel child charges at Twickenham Green Montessori Nursery, but has pleaded guilty to the same charges.
Before she began working in a nursery, she was charged with the 24th child cruelty in October 2023.
At Kingston Crown Court today, prosecutors cried on the floor by allegedly being beaten by Lecka and leaving “Scratch” and “pinch” marks on their bodies, opening the trial.
Members of public gallery, including the children’s parents, were shocked in shock when they played CCTV on Lecka on June 28 last year, including damage to the baby (including “fist” sitting on her legs”.
Prosecutor Tracy Ayling KC told jurors about the opening case of Lecka that the defendant began working at Montessori Nursery on January 31, 2024 and that there was “no obvious protection issues.”
She said Lecka is a person she met and he works hard and interacts well with the kids.”

Ms Erin continued: “But what happened on June 28, 2024 brought attention from the staff at Riverside Graves and informed the police.
“When watching CCTV from inside the house, it seems that on June 28, 2024, Ms. Lycra treated many children.”
The trial heard that day Lecka was late to work and looked “slow”, “drowsy” and “almost like she was in a daze when she arrived”. The head teacher told her to go home at 3 pm.
However, before that, jurors heard that between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., a teaching assistant witnessed two children who were injured by Lycra.
When the staff concerned checked all babies for injuries, they found five children injured, including “scratch”, “pinch marks”, “red skin” and “raising skin”.
The jurors were told how the assistant professor reported Lycra’s behavior to the principal on June 28, 2024, triggering an emergency investigation.
The court showed the court the CCTV found by the principal, which included footage of a child spitting out a dummy and crying after “pinching.”
In another clip, members of the gallery gasped, and Lecka allegedly grabbed the child’s face and made him cry.

The principal reported the matter to the designated officials and ofsted by the local authorities. Police attended the nursery on July 3 and began trawling the net on CCTV.
Lecka was arrested on July 5 for alleged cruel abuse.
But her prepared statement said: “I deny that any kids were attacked at Riverside Nursery on June 28, 2024. I went to work that day and lived a normal day. There were no accidents where kids seemed to be injured. We had procedures for me to stick with the kids. I don’t know how any harm caused by these kids.
Ms. Leka somehow “treated somehow” the 23 babies when police returned to watch all existing CCTVs, the court heard. It is said that they were injured by 24 children on October 19, 2023.
Jurors were told that most of the so-called incidents occurred in the nursery’s “baby rooms” and some occurred in the “baby bedrooms” where children lay on cribs or baby mats.

Prosecutors told the jury that they would see a lot of CCTV throughout the trial.
Ms Erin said: “For example, you might cry on Ms. Lycra’s legs.
‘Otherwise they might run away from her. You might see her looking at other staff members while hurting the child, just checking if the other staff members are watching what she is doing. . All of this is for you’
On Thursday, jurors showed jurors many clips starting June 28, 2024 – they alleged that five children were injured.
Prosecutors showed footage of the jury in a clip where Lecka allegedly “repeatedly pinched” a child’s legs, back and under his arms.
The court heard the child shed tears as other staff members tried to comfort them.
In the second clip, Lecka allegedly showed the jurors another child’s legs.
Prosecutors said CCTV would comfort the staff when they cried to the staff, and they soon crawled away from Lecka.
In another incident, Lecka was allegedly seen walking out of the nursery but “beat a girl by pinching her to the side of her face and then grabbing the back of her head/hair”.
Emotional family members gasped in the court, including one who watched the moment multiple times when they heard the voice of “Jesus Christ.”
The court then showed the moment the staff began to check for the child’s injuries.
Ms Erin said: “So she and other staff examined all the children’s injuries. (Children 9) had scratches on her face, (Children 8) had pinch marks on her chest, (Children 13) had scratches on her neck, (Children 12) had red marks on her inner legs, and (Children 6) had a small amount of skin lifted on her belly.
On Thursday, the jury began passing CCTV of child victims allegedly injured by Leka.
A shot of a child allegedly being pinched on his feet, right leg and chest is shown. At another moment when Lecka was gasping from the gallery, Lecka pulled the kids’ hair, which made them hit their heads on the table.
This time, another child’s CCTV was shown to the jurors in the sleeping room, allegedly being pinched by Lycra on his legs and thighs.
The defendant was then seen lifting the girl from the crib and taking her back to the nursery where she began to “pinch” her.
In the nursery room, CCTV also showed Lycra allegedly punching the girl next to her. The so-called fist shocked the baby and she burst into tears.
The Montessori Nursery where Lecka works cares for children under the age of four, and parents pay up to £1,900 a month for childcare.
Prestigious nurseries follow Montessori teaching methods, involving children’s “natural interests and activities” rather than formal practices.
The defendant showed no emotion on the dock, allegedly “deliberately assaulted and or abused “24 victims” in a manner that could cause pain or harm.
Lecka from Hounslow has denied 22 counts of cruel crimes.
The trial is expected to last for five weeks and continue.
