Telangana Irrigation EE holds 60,000 rupees bribery case

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught the red hand Arram Reddy Amarender Reddy, executive engineer of the irrigation department of Rajanna Sircilla, at his residence in Karimnagar, as he accepted a bribe of Rs 60,000 from the complainant.
The litigants accepted bribes due to formal favors in bills related to the construction of the royal family and the contractual work of the Venkatapur Mandal in the Rajanna Siricilla district. The complainant carried out the construction work a year ago.
When noticing the arrival of ACB officials, Reddy wrapped the bribe money in his son’s t-shirt without touching it and threw it outside the compound wall of the house. The amount of pollution bribes of Rs 60,000 was recovered from the open site behind the Reddy residence. In the chemical test, a portion of the T-shirt that was exposed to the amount of bribery affected was positive.
ACB officials said Reddy performed improper and dishonest duties to gain improper advantages. Reddy has spent Rs 4 lakh to sanction the bill submitted earlier by the complainant and again demanded a bribe of Rs 75,000 to create the remaining bill related to the contract work.
Officials say Reddy was produced at the special court in ACB case in Karimnagar. For security reasons, the complainant’s details were deleted.
