India, Pakistan agrees to hold talks on US publicity with Sharif’s Modi immediately: Marco Rubio | India News

In a major diplomatic breakthrough, the United States announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to an immediate ceasefire and would initiate talks on a wide range of issues in neutral locations. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed that over the past 48 hours, he and Senator JD Vance held intense discussions with senior officials from both countries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, and National Security Advisors Ajit Doval and Asim Malik.

Secretary Rubio said in an official statement: “I am pleased to announce that the governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire and begin negotiations on a range of issues on neutral locations.”

He praised the leaders of both countries for their commitment to relegation, adding: “We praise Prime Minister Modi and Sharif for their wisdom, prudence and politicians in choosing the path to peace.”

Tensions have intensified following recent cross-border hostilities and drone strikes, and the international community urges restraint and dialogue among nuclear-weapon neighbors, the news emerged.
