West Bengal schools shine in state parliamentary exams, ranking across categories

Several schools in West Bengal have become beacons of academic excellence, with multiple students earning the highest rankings in the recently announced state board exam results for the Level 10, Level 12 and Islamic University Examinations. The results released by the West Bengal Council of Secondary Education (WBBSE), West Bengal High School Education Board (WBCHSE) and West Bengal Islamic Education Board (WBBME) in the first week of May bring great pride to these institutions.

“We are happy with the results of this year’s high school exam. We make sure we closely monitor students throughout the school year to study their strengths and weaknesses of their youth,” said Bikash Chandra Ray, principal of Arambagh High School in Hooghly, who said. Hindu.

The school performed well in three of the three students in the WBCHSE Level 12 exams, finishing third, fifth and tenth. Mr Lei added that another student who was just the 10th ranking applied for the review. Arambagh High School has a total of 233 high school candidates from 2,800 students, recording an impressive 97.42% overall pass percentage, with 28 students scoring over 90%.

Founded 114 years ago, Raiganj Coronation High School, also achieved great success in the Level 10 Madhyamik exam, with students earning first and tenth rankings. Principal Kalicharan Saha attributes success to the combination of hard work and discipline. Mr. Saha said: “Our students are routine, hardworking and always listen to their teachers. Ensuring first place is a very little achievement, but our students have won this achievement through years of hard work.”

Meanwhile, Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya of South 24 Parganas gained a unique distinction in the Level 12 Advanced Benefits List by placing two students in the top 10 of the Level 10 Madhyamik exam. Principal Swami Ishteshanada noted that this year’s achievements were particularly outstanding, as four students also listed four on the 2023 Level 10 Merit List.

The four top scorers in the Level 12 exam include the twin brothers who share ninth place. Last year, they finished fourth and sixth in the Level 10 exam, demonstrating the consistency and quality of education provided by the school. “These results reflect the continuity of our educational approach, especially in Levels 11 and 12, and I believe the future of our top ranking is very bright,” said Swami Ishteshanada.

In the Malda region, the High Madrasah also made its mark, with four students from the school receiving positions in the top ten of the 2025 Islamic Highland Examinations. Principal Badrul Islam expressed his joy at the results, especially since the school initially expects only two of its students to get the highest ranking. “Although many of the credits belong to students, our teachers play a crucial role in success,” he said.

Islam highlights the school’s strict preparatory system, which includes remedial courses before the board exam, and notes that many incumbent siblings follow their exams. He added that the school has a legacy of producing top hats every year.

Other schools and Islamic schools that are unique in the 2025 board exam include Vivekananda vidyamandir in Marda Marda, and Falakata High School in Batala Adal Shagao Islam Alipurduar.

The results of this year’s board exam highlight the dedication of students and educators in West Bengal, and the school continues to maintain a good tradition of academic excellence.
