Andhra Pradesh Governor holds interfaith meeting in India-Pak hostilities

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer held a faith meeting with different religious directors and civil society leaders at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Chief Minister Nara Chandrabu Naidu, Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, Minister of the Interior V. Anitha and senior government officials attended the meeting.
Speaking during this period, Abdul Nazeer called the savage in the Pahalgam incident in Jamu & Kashmir on April 22, and terrorists killed 26 tourists. He pointed out that in response, the Indian armed forces launched Operation Sandor on May 7 to remove the terrorist infrastructure. The country’s armed forces went on strike at nine terrorist sites with surgical precision, strategic restraint and exemplary courage.
The governor said the measured response showed India’s strength and decisive action while avoiding unnecessary escalation. “Public representatives, leaders of all religious communities, and members of civil society have jointly confirmed their wholehearted support for the Indian armed forces and the coalition government to protect our country from terrorism and aggression. The people of the nation respect the courage and sacrifice of our brave soldiers and have contributed our country to safeguard our country.”
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that people condemned the mean behavior of terrorists, regardless of religion, caste, creed and region, while standing behind the Indian government and security forces, which took necessary actions to protect the Indian people and the country.
Participants paid tribute to the Army Jawan M. Murali Naik from the Sri Satya Sai District, martyr from Operation SINDOOR.
Numerous religious heads spoke at the interfaith meeting, including Maulana Hussain Ahmad Majhari of Jamait Ulema-e-Hind, Farooq Shubli of Minority Hakkula Parisakshana Samiti, Mufti Farooq of Ulema Council of India, Harmohinder Singh Sahni of Minority Rights Protection Committee, Gurjith Singh Sahni of Gurudwara Sri Gurusingh Sabha, Jayaraju of Ambapura Church of South India, Rev. Mohan Rao of G. Konduru Church of South India, Rev. Karunanidhi of Vijayawada Church of South India, AP Federation of Churches, Pilli Surendra Babu of The Buddhist Society of India and Samata Sainik Dal, Veerabhatla Arun of NTR District Brahmana Sadhikara Samiti, Vedantam Naikanta of Kondinya Sanathana Samiti Trust, Deepak Desai of Gujarati Jains Association, Vijayawada and Dinesh Kumar Peshwani of Vijayawada Pujya Sindhi Panchayat.
