Godavari area pays tribute to Murali Naik

Kakinada: People in the former Goldwari region paid rich tribute to soldier Murali Naik, who sacrificed his life in the Indian-Pakistan war and expressed reputation on Saturday with Indian Armed Forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many pray in the temple and observe two minutes of silence in memory of the fallen soldiers.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh participated in the Rajamahendravaram’s tribute event, saying the country will never forget the sacrifice of Murali Naik. He praised the Prime Minister for taking bold measures to oppose hostile forces, adding that the Prime Minister is projecting a strong and brave image of India, which is not only to Pakistan but to the whole world. He said that despite the diversity of culture, traditions and language, people are united behind soldiers.
A two-minute silence was also observed to commemorate all the civilians who died in the terrorist incidents of the soldiers who attacked Mongolia in Pakistan. East Godavari area collector P. Prashanthi and other officials were present.
In Bhimavaram, a procession from Addavanthena to the statue of Ratan Tata was held, expressing the unity of the armed forces and commemorating the soldiers including Murali Naik. Deputy Speaker K. Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju, Bhimavaram Mla Pulaparthi Ramanjaneyulu and West Godavari regional collector C. Nagarani attended the meeting. Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju wore military uniforms and carried the national flag with other participants who put forward slogans to support India, the armed forces and the Prime Minister.
BJP leaders and workers provided special pojas at Someswara Swamy Temple and performed Abhishekam with 125 liters of milk. They also performed Kumkum Poojas to the goddess Mavulamma. Rajya Sabha member P. Satyanarayana and other leaders were present. In Kadiyam, locals pay tribute to the soldiers who died in the war.
