Earlier in the day, Foreign Minister Misri told the media that the Director-General of Pakistan’s Military Operations was in contact with his Indian counterparts.

He said: “The Director General of Pakistan Military Operations (DGMO) gave Indian DGMO at 15:35 pm this afternoon. A consensus was reached between them that both sides would cease all shooting and military operations on land and air and sea, effective from 1,700 hours of Indian Standard Time.”

He added: “Today, both sides have provided instructions to make this understanding effective. The directors of the military operations will talk again on 1200 hours on May 12.”

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar pointed out in an article on X that India will continue its firm and uncompromising position against terrorism. (ANI)
