Arakandanallur police in Villupuram district arrested two people suspected of being involved in the burglary and recovered 26 noble jewelry from them on Saturday (May 10, 2025).
Police Chief P. Saravanan formed a special police team to investigate the crime after T. Devanur, near Velupram reported on May 6, following the House break-in incident in T. Devanur, near Velupram.
During a vehicle inspection at Vadakaraithazhanur on Villupuram-Tirukkoyilur Road on Saturday, the team intercepted two motorcycle riders and found them to be M. Manikandan, 44, of Vellore and R. Kishore of the Tiruvannamalai district associated with Burglary.
Police arrested the duo and recaptured the two from the 26 monarchs and the two ship owners. They were produced in local courts and were remanded.
