Virat Kohli finally breaks silence in retirement speech after the championship trophy

Virat Kohli has done a great job in the 2025 championship trophy, helping India make history.
Legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli lies in bed with any retirement rumors, making it clear that he still loves the game, a driving force of his relentless competitive nature. Kohli’s outstanding batting skills played a crucial role in the Indian Triumph Championship 2025 journey, a milestone for the team. Even with all the outstanding achievements, Kohli showed no intention of returning and was committed to continuing excellence in the sport for years to come.
“Don’t be nervous. I didn’t make any announcements. So far, everything is fine. I still love playing games.”
He shared that his competitive nature has led him to be one of the top hitters of his generation, which has made it certain whether he is ready to retire from cricket. He recalled a conversation with former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid, who advised him to stay in touch with himself.
“You know that a competitive winning streak doesn’t allow you to find the answer (for retirement questions). I had a very interesting conversation with Rahul Dravid. He said you always have to stay in touch with yourself,” he shared.
“Find out where you are in your life, the answer is not easy. You may be going through a lean phase and you feel like that’s it. But that may not be. But my competitive streak will not allow me to accept it in time. Maybe another month,” he added.
“Maybe six months left. So I think it’s a good balance. At this point in my life, I’m so happy,” he explained.
Kohli is keenly aware of the challenges of his age and he discusses these obstacles frankly.
“I hope to be able to go all out. Now, it takes more energy because people will understand the game for a long time. In the mid-30s, you can’t do a lot of things that you can do in your 20s. I’m a little different in my life, too,” he said.
“I think it’s a natural progression. I’m sure all these young people will hopefully get to that place. But now, the energy I’m sending feels very peaceful and peaceful,” he added.
Kohli will now turn his attention to his franchise as they work to secure their first IPL title. Fans are finally going to be successful this season against the newly appointed Rajat Patidar-led RCB.
