Nagarjuna plays the lead role again?

Experienced star Nagarjuna is reportedly preparing to return to the big screen as a mature hero after exploring powerful characters in high-profile movies like Kuberaa and Coolie. Sources said he showed clicks on the exciting script told by Tamil director Ra Karthick.

“Nagarjuna agreed in principle to work with Ra Karthick two days ago,” a source revealed. “Karthick, known for Tamil films like Nitham Oru Vaanam, told a hero-centric story that attracted Nagarjuna’s interest. The project will be launched soon.”
Nagarjuna’s last outing was a lead in Naa Saami Ranga, who had a success at the box office, and in a rustic setting he seamlessly balanced romance and action. “He has been reviewing several scripts as the lead actor,” the source continued. “Despite the diverse and special roles played in Kuberaa and Coolie, Nagarjuna is still keen to return to his comfort zone – playing the central lead.”

Nagarjuna recently chose a support role, aiming to showcase his versatility. His authoritative look and cool-funny style of Kuberaa further cemented his reputation as a vibrant performer, breaking away from his earlier lover boy and action hero.

The source added: “In Kuberaa, he plays an upright officer opposite Tamil star Dhanush, designed as a multi-star. Meanwhile, his role in coolie is short but influential.”
