No ceasefire violation in Kashmir valley overnight after the Indian-Pakistan agreement

The normality in the Kashmir Valley is excellent as residents witnessed the first night in six days without the sound of planes, missiles and drones.

“No ceasefire violations were violated by any department along Kashmir after 11pm on Saturday (May 10, 2025)” the official said here.

“It has been a while since we slept well. We thank the Almighty and everyone else who played a role in ending the war,” said Shahjahan Dar, a resident of Ravalbola.
However, many people who move from border areas to relatively safer areas want to wait a few days before returning to their homes.

“Last night, we saw drones and rockets after a ceasefire was announced. We pray that this ceasefire will be permanent, but we want to wait for a few days.”

Dozens of drones were seen flying through the Kashmir Valley on Saturday (May 10, 2025) in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire along the control line and international borders on Saturday (May 10, 2025). Indian armed forces attacked Pakistan’s Kashmir (POK) last week in response to Pahargam attacks, with tensions between India and Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (POK).
Foreign Minister Vikram Misri announced that the directors of the Indian and Pakistan Military Operations (DGMOS) have agreed to cease all shooting and military operations on land, air and ocean starting from 5pm on Saturday (May 10, 2025). The brief announcement by the Foreign Secretary comes after U.S. President Donald Trump said that India and Pakistan agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire” after talks introduced by India and Pakistan in the United States.
