Faridabad arrives at Ghaziabad in just 30 minutes, and the new highway will be…

The FNG expressway will provide direct, smooth routes and improve connectivity between Faridabad and Uttar Pradesh.

The Haryana government has approved the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) expressway. The new highway is part of an effort to accelerate several projects in the Delhi NCR area to enhance highway infrastructure and road connections. Its goal is to promote travel between Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad while reducing transportation and promoting local economic growth.

The 56km, six-lane Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) expressway is now under construction about 20 years ago. Travelers between Faridabad and Ghaziabad or Noida will not have to enter the city, which will also help to alleviate traffic in Delhi. Once the expressway is completed, it takes only 30 minutes from Faridabad to Ghaziabad.

Currently, commuters must take a longer route through Kalindi Kunj in Delhi to get from Faridabad to Noida, which leads to severe traffic and longer travel times. The FNG expressway will improve connectivity between Faridabad and Uttar Pradesh by providing direct, simple routes. Its construction will greatly reduce traffic congestion while strengthening the infrastructure of NCR. According to the News 18 Hindi article, the project is expected to be completed in 2027.

The expressway will begin in Dafaridabad near Maa Amrita Hospital and cross Yamuna near Larpur village before entering Noida. Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will split the cost of the 600-meter bridge across the Yamuna River near Lalpur. Travel between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh is now more convenient as the two governments cooperate in accelerating the project.

The 56km highway is designed to be a six-lane road, which can be added to eight lanes when necessary. The project is expected to cost about Rs 633 crore.
