Rahul, Kharge asks special parliamentary meeting to discuss pahalgam attack

Opposition leaders of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding an immediate special meeting of parliament to discuss the latest developments in Pahargam terrorist attacks, operations in Sindor and cross-border shootings.

Lok Sabha, the opposition leader of Rahul Gandhi and his rival in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, have written to the Prime Minister to reiterate their demands and reaffirm their convening of special sessions of the two parliaments to demonstrate collective determination to terrorism.

“I reiterate the unanimous request of the opposition to convene a special session of parliament immediately. It is crucial for people and their representatives to discuss the actions of U.S. President Trump and the ceasefire.

He added: “I am sure you will consider this need seriously and quickly.”

Mr. Hager recalled his letter written by him and Rahul Gandhi on April 28, asking the Prime Minister to convene a special session of the parliament after the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on April 22.

“In view of the latest developments, the opposition leaders of Lok Sabha wrote to you again, conveying a special session of parliament to the unanimous demands of all opposition parties, discussing the Pahargam attack, Operation Sindoor, Operation Sindoor, Operation Sindoor, Cous Fire Announcement, first spoken by Washington, DC and later by the governments of India and Pakistan, “kharar of India and Parkstan”.

“As the opposition leader of Rajya Sabha, I am writing to support the request. I am confident you will agree,” said the congressional head.

India and Pakistan reached an understanding on Saturday to stop all shooting and military operations on land, air and sea, and take effect immediately during a four-day cross-border drone and missile strike.
