: The Tamil Nadu government will spend nearly Rs 250 crore to organize 1,256 medical battalions, of which health checks will be provided.
To enhance Kalaignarin Varrumun Kappom Plan and bring the overall health check to everyone, the plan will be announced in the 2025-2026 budget, which will be announced soon to conduct an overall health check for everyone. Under the plan, 1,256 medical camps will be conducted. Massachusetts Health Secretary, Chief Secretary will soon launch the program in Chennai. Subramanian said on Saturday.
Under the program, 17 professional and 30 tests will be provided. These include general medicine, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ears, nose and throat, dentistry, ophthalmology, children’s health and immunity.
He added that the Ministry of Public Health, on behalf of the state government, will donate Rs 75,000 to each camp.
