Hopefully military understanding between India will have permanent impact on Pakistan: Mehbooba

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said on Sunday that hopes for an understanding between India and Pakistan to prevent all military operations from confronting each other and will have permanent impact. Mufti, who visited the displaced people in the border village of Baramulla, told reporters here: “I pray to the Almighty that this ceasefire becomes permanent because innocent people lose their lives and their houses.” Asked about violations that took place within hours of Saturday’s military understanding, she said it took some time to gradually expand the situation when the armies of both countries were eyeballs.
The former Jamu and Kashmir chief minister added: “The downgrade takes time. We shouldn’t be weird in everything.”
She said the government should arrange for displaced people and provide monetary assistance so that they can rebuild their homes.

She added: “These people lost their homes. They can’t rebuild their homes. This is my requirement from the government and it should provide them with accommodation and monetary help in rebuilding the homes.”

The President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said the situation in the Kashmir border area was bad and there was no better situation in the Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu areas.
