Air Marshal AK Bharti said on Sunday that Operation Sindoor effectively destroyed the terror camp to achieve its targets accurately. He stressed that the impact of action is obvious to the world. Who is the Air Marshal AK Bharti?
Air Marshal Ak Bharti is a fighter leader. He is currently appointed as the DGAO of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He also served in the senior headquarters of Eastern Airlines Command and the Central Air Command. Bharti was appointed as the flight branch of the IAF in 1987. He is reportedly a graduate student at the National Defense Services Staff College (DSSC) and the National Defense College (NDC). In June 1987, he was appointed as a fighter branch.
It is reported that he led the Sukhoi-30 MKI squadron from August 2005 to September 2007. As DGAO, Marshal Bharti was at the forefront of planning and conducting precise air strikes following the Pahalgam attack. The Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindor in the early morning of May 7, targeting nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan, the Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POK). The operation is a retaliatory response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.
