IFWJ calls for pension, health care and travel benefits for journalists

A national-level summit held by the Federation of Working Journalists in India (IFWJ) discussed “Problems and Financial Restrictions for Journalists” held in Bangalore on Sunday, calling on government intervention to provide journalists with health care benefits, including national pensions and housing schemes. No telephone travel and bus passes, education for journalists and education for fair pay are other requirements.
